There were very few Malayalees in England up to the latter half of the sixties. The majority of these Malayalees had come here for the purpose of higher studies. The end of the sixties saw the immigration of a number of Malayalees who had been working in Singapore. After working for years under the British Government in Singapore, they decided to come here, after accepting the British citizenship.
